{"id":5,"date":"2017-02-27T10:49:53","date_gmt":"2017-02-27T09:49:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/rebeccafribourg.com\/?page_id=5"},"modified":"2024-11-25T13:24:24","modified_gmt":"2024-11-25T12:24:24","slug":"presentation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/rebeccafribourg.com\/","title":{"rendered":"About me"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since september 2021, I am an associate professor at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ec-nantes.fr\/\">Ecole Centrale de Nantes.<\/a>\u00a0 I am since september 2023 part of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ls2n.fr\/?lang=en\">LS2N<\/a> laboratory in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ls2n.fr\/equipe\/pacce\/\">PACCE<\/a> team, and before that I was a member of\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/aau.archi.fr\/\">AAU laboratory <\/a>(Ambiances, Architectures, Urbanit\u00e9s) in team <a href=\"https:\/\/aau.archi.fr\/crenau\/\">CRENAU. <\/a>I am also an external member of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inria.fr\/fr\/hybrid\">Hybrid<\/a> team at Inria Rennes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before that, I\u00a0 worked for 6 months as a Post-Doc Researcher from January 2021 to july 2021, at Trinity College Dublin on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scss.tcd.ie\/Rachel.McDonnell\/research.shtml#\">RADICal<\/a> project led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scss.tcd.ie\/Rachel.McDonnell\/index.shtml\">Rachel McDonnell<\/a> as the principal investigator. The project took place in the context of on-set VR pre-visualisation for the entertainment industry\u00a0 and aimed to improve performances from actors playing the role of virtual characters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before I was a PhD student for three years in the field of Virtual Reality working in both <a href=\"https:\/\/team.inria.fr\/hybrid\/\">Hybrid<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/team.inria.fr\/mimetic\/\">Mimetic<\/a> teams of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inria.fr\/centre\/rennes\">Inria Rennes research center<\/a>. The PhD was directed by <a href=\"http:\/\/people.rennes.inria.fr\/Anatole.Lecuyer\/\">Anatole L\u00e9cuyer<\/a> who leads the Hybrid team that focuses on the thematics of &#8220;Perception, Cognition and Interaction&#8221;. The thesis was also co-supervised by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.undefinedsymbol.net\/\">Ferran Argelaguet<\/a> from Hybrid team and by <a href=\"https:\/\/people.rennes.inria.fr\/Ludovic.Hoyet\/\">Ludovic Hoyet<\/a> from Mimetic team, which axes of research are Motion Analysis, Autonomous virtual humans, and Physical activity in virtual reality. I successfully defended my thesis titled <em>\u00ab Contribution to the Study of Factors Influencing the Sense of Embodiment Towards Avatars in Virtual Reality \u00bb<\/em> the 4\/11\/2020. The jury was composed of Guillaume Moreau, Ronan Boulic, Catherine Pelachaud, Victoria Interrante, Mel Slater as well as my thesis supervisors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Before I studied at Universit\u00e9 de Technologie de Compi\u00e8gne, France, where I completed the bachelor&#8217;s and master&#8217;s program in Computer Science.
